Blue Week – West Prairie Tour

Discover the rare habitats in Sibley Prairie Priority Conservation Area and the current efforts of Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy to restore this natural gem.

Come join SMLC and our partner The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for a guided hike through the Sibley Prairie Nature Preserve – West Prairie as we learn about lakeplain prairie, a globally rare ecosystem, and the Sibley Prairie Priority Conservation Area. See the impacts of long term restoration at the preserve and here about the plans for continued restoration work in the future. This event is part of Blue Week, hosted by the Green Ribbon Initiative, focused on the unique oak openings region in Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
