Bowling Green Seed Swap

Join the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department for the second annual Bowling Green Seed Swap.  This event is free and open to the public.  Scratch that gardening itch by bringing leftover seeds to share and replenish your stock for the upcoming growing season.  Vegetable, flower and native plant seeds are welcome! Houseplants and bulbs are allowed with proper containers and labeling.  Never been to a seed swap?  Here’s what you can expect:

Participants are encouraged tobring plant seeds to share with other plant enthusiasts.

All seeds to be exchanged mustbe enclosed in plastic zip bags and must be labeled appropriately.

Participants can have their own designated table for their own seeds or seeds can be added to communal tables/bins in the center of the room.

A FREE children’s activity area will be available for seed planting.

Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the event!

Light refreshments will beavailable for a donation… coffee, baked goods, etc.

Take some seeds, leave some seeds, share gardening stories and planting knowledge with like-minded gardeners who wish to grow their own food, expand your collection of landscape flowers, and help the environment by growing native plants!

This year we will also have gardening experts share their knowledge with information sessions at 9:30 am and at 11:00 am, presenters to be announced at a later date.

Pre-registration is not required, just arrive and jump in!  For more information, please contact Chris Gajewicz, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department, 419.353.0301 or email at cgajewicz@bgohio.org
