In Search of Harvester Butterflies at Woodlawn

TNA members know that when it comes walking around Woodlawn Cemetery, there aren’t too many people more knowledgeable that Tim Haney. Tim has been studying the birds and trees of Woodlawn for decades, but for this August field trip we’re going to shift gears a little bit. We won’t be focusing on the cemetery’s many species of trees or the possibility of seeing a couple species of shorebirds hanging around the lake (Disclaimer: We’ll probably do that too…just sayin’). No…the main focus of this trip will be searching out the beautiful Harvester Butterfly. Meet Tim at 12 p.m. at the main headquarters building just inside the main gate on Central Ave (at Auburn Ave).
