Explore unique habitats at home and throughout the world during this special event. Learn more about the Oak Openings region and the unique plants and animals that call it home from local experts on conservation and watch a screener on the new PBS and BBC special, KINGDOMS OF THE SKY. KINGDOMS OF THE SKY explores the extraordinary animals and remarkable people that make their home in three of the most iconic mountain ranges of the world: the Rockies, the Himalaya and the Andes.
This free event will feature expert speakers, a screening of “Rockies,” the first episode of Kingdoms of the Sky, conservation-focused giveaways, door prizes, refreshments and more.
KINGDOMS OF THE SKY was filmed over the course of two years and features breathtaking photography. The series journeys to the highest and most isolated places on the planet to reveal how animals and people survive in these rugged terrains. KINGDOMS OF THE SKY premieres Wednesdays, July 11, 18 and 25, 2018 at 9 p.m. on WGTE HD.
