Natural Resources Volunteer Day

Location: Nature Center, Oakwoods Metropark, 32911 Willow Road, New Boston, MI 48164

Date: Tuesday April 10, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Volunteers are an essential part in our fight against invasive species and in our work to restore and conserve our natural areas. Your help allows the Metroparks to protect unique ecosystems that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Volunteers will help remove garlic mustard.

All necessary tools and equipment will be provided, as well as a water cooler and snacks. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your favorite pair! Please be sure to dress for working outdoors and in areas that may include poison ivy (long pants, layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, etc.).

Volunteers receive free day entry to the park, just let the toll booth attendant know you are at the park for a volunteer workday
