Nature is the fantastic factory that makes the building blocks of all our lives—food, drinking water, the stuff we own, and the air we breathe. That’s why The Nature Conservancy and its 550 scientists have created Nature Lab: to help students learn the science behind how nature works for us and how we can help keep it running strong.
Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a Virtual Field Trip Watch Party and guided discussion. Nature Lab is designed for both K-12 educators and families, with a plethora of resources that can help make meaningful connections to our natural world for all ages!
The first field trip we will be hosting is on Saturday February 6th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Changing Climate, Changing Cities: Virtual Field Trip from Phoenix to Shenzhen. In this Virtual Field Trip, learn about heat islands in Phoenix, Arizona and the connection between water and climate in Shenzhen, China. You’ll also hear about why some communities are at greater risk than others and discover how everyone can be a part of the solution.
