NorthWest Ohio River Runners Meeting: A Kayak Group Open to the Public

Join the NorthWest Ohio River Runners (NWORR) kayak and canoe enthusiasts for their off-season winter meetings.

Their mission is, “to inform, teach, and share in the fun and safety of the sport, for individuals and families in northwest Ohio and across the country.”

At the March meeting, Pat Groves and Robin Rex of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will present a free Paddle Sport Safety Class.

The first class, in February, will cover basic terminology and safety equipment. The second class, in March, will go over how to handle your craft in various scenarios. There will be no in-water training.

Doors open at 6pm and classes will be from 6:30pm to about 9pm. A suggested workbook can be purchased at the door for $15 and can be shared by family members.

No Registration Required.
