Partners for Clean Streams Patch Day

During the Patch Day Workshop, energetic Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other groups in 2nd through 5th grade earn the blue and white embroidered Partnering for Clean Streams Patch by participating in various water-related activities. Water Quality Professionals come and lead activities that teach both children and their parents how important water is in our daily lives. All of the sessions include hands on activities. The participants also learn about Storm Drain Marking and how to protect the water that enters the storm drain system. The event ends with a visualization of how little of the water on this planet is fresh water and how only a portion of the fresh water is drinkable. By the end of the workshop the participants will  become better stewards of our precious water resources. Parents comment, “the kids loved it!” and others point out that, “There was lots of information that the kids would not have otherwise come across.” Thank you to all our partners who help make Patch Day possible! Register here.
