StewardSHIP: Swan Creek Clean-up

REGISTER: 205501101-25

Swan Creek provides a peaceful nature retreat filled with birds and wildlife for paddlers in the city. From the water you can barely tell you’re in the middle of downtown Toledo…. except for the litter. Join Partners for Clean Streams and Metroparks naturalists as we clean up this beautiful waterway and get the trash out of our Maumee River watershed. All trash collected during this citizen’s science project will be tracked and reported as part of the ACA’s Track Trash Program, which provides data to scientists working on tracking and battling marine debris pollution.

All participants and staff must wear masks and abide by proper social distancing guidelines for the duration of the program. Mask breaks are allowed when appropriate. Participants must bring their own mask.
We will adhere to any recommendations or requirements that come from the state during the time of the program.

Meet at Erie Street Market.

Dress to get wet and wear synthetic clothing (nylon, spandex, or polyester, no cotton). Wear old tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals with a heel strap (no flip flops). Bring water and sun protection. Please leave all valuables at home. We will provide all boats, life jackets and other gear. Please bring a change of clothes and a towel.

This program runs rain or shine.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
Please register all participants.
