Japanese Stiltgrass is an aggressive invader of forests throughout the eastern US. Infestations can impact the diversity of native species, reduce wildlife habitat, and disrupt important ecosystem functions. Andrea Matthies and Jim Odell will educate on properly identifying Japanese Stiltgrass. Participants will then survey the IHM campus prairies for the presence of stiltgrass. Be sure to bring gloves, working shoes and a water bottle. Meet at IHM Campus.
This event is offered by the Western Lake Erie Cluster of the Stewardship Network.
