Urban Birding I: Winter Finches

Historic Woodlawn Cemetery has been a special place for urban birding in Toledo for a very long time. And when it comes to urban birding in the city of Toledo, there’s nobody better than Sherry Plessner. Sherry and her band of Woodlawn Warriors have been birding Woodlawn every Friday morning for a number of years now, and have turned up some pretty good birds over that time. The target group for this trip will be the winter finches. Hopefully it will be a good year for Siskins, but our goal will be Crossbills. Meet Sherry at 1 p.m. at the main headquarters building just inside the main gate on Central Ave (at Auburn Ave).
