Butterflies in the Region
Want to know what is currently fluttering about in the Oak Openings region? We have a wonderful group of volunteers that monitor the winged-beauties that utilize various habitats throughout the Oak Openings. On July 20th, volunteers found 20 species at the Kitty Todd Nature Preserve, a property owned and managed by the Ohio chapter of The Nature Conservancy in Swanton, Ohio. Species found were:

Summer Azure
Common Wood Nymph
Black Swallowtail
Orange Sulphur
Little Wood Satyr
